San Miguel Febres Cordero School

Middle School - provide a high quality humane and christian education to young people in the underserved back of the yards neighborhood on chicago's south side. In doing so, the School has designed a holistic wraparound approach to student learning that begins with building a relationship with each student and teaching them to be accountable for their own actions. The School's enrolls approximately 90 students on an annual basis, nearly all of whom are hispanic and qualify for the federally funded free and reduced lunch program.

Community center - provide a) students with a facility for after School activities such as sports, arts, fitness and drama; b) parents with access to adult education resources such as parenting classes, esl, citizenship, and more; c) graduates in high School with a place to come back for tutoring, mentoring, and counseling; and d) the community at large with recreational opportunities, positive social activities, and social justice projects.
