Program areas at Catalyst of San Diego & Imperial Counties

Catalyst of San Diego Imperial Counties is a nonprofit network of foundations, giving circles, individuals, and impact investors seeking to improve outcomes for residents of San Diego and Imperial Counties. Catalyst connects and activates funders to learn, lead and invest in our community, envisioning an equitable, collaborative, and impactful social change ecosystem. We provide education on grantmaking and impact investing practices, plus issues like education, immigration, and climate change. We host cohort and multi-day trainings that experiences in the places that funds can impact. These have included military family childcare providers, Imperial County community-based organizations, and sustainable food systems leaders in tribal communities. Catalyst supports learning and co-funding activities for funders and acts as the program manager and grant administrator for more than 6 million of State of California funding through the Stop the Hate and Creative Corps programs and five fiscally sponsored projects that make grants of more than half-a-million dollars each year.
