Hosted six (6) educational transportation leadership series luncheon events during the fiscal year including samco's 20-year celebration & annual meeting luncheon (december 13, 2021), looking ahead with senator robert nichols luncheon (march 30, 2022), state of logistics luncheon (may 12, 2022), state of transit with via luncheon (june 17, 2022), state of Texas economy with comptroller glenn hegar luncheon (july 26, 2022), and the 18th annual state of the district with txdot luncheon (september 7, 2022).
Participated in development of and endorsed a $1.2 billion 2022-2027 city of San Antonio (cosa) bond program approved by voters on may 7, 2022, including proposition a (streets, bridges & sidewalks).
Actively supported authorization of $737.4 million in highway project additions/enhancements for the San Antonio district/alamo mpo region as part of the annual update of txdot's ten-year transportation plan (unified transportation program utp). Prepared an extensive analysis of the draft utp, including impacts to the San Antonio district/region and comparisons with other major metropolitan regions of the state.
Supported via metropolitan transit's request for $158 million in federal funding from the new starts program for the north-south advanced rapid transit (art) corridor.worked with samco's legislative committee and representatives from cosa, bexar county, via, mpo, aacog, chambers of commerce, and other partner organizations to prepare samco's 2023 legislative agenda as approved by the board of directors on july 18, 2022.expanded samco committee structure to future on logistics, emerging transportation technologies, regional connectivity, rail projects, and connectivity with austin, houston, and the rio grand valley.
