Program areas at Salt Ministries
We purchased two homes which are being rehabbed, one of which will be use to house teen boys plus staff. We acquired a vacant lot which will have a flower garden and potentially a community garden. The ministry has assisted neighbors with problem solving, food acquisition, and mentoring/tutoring. There have been neighborhood activities such as water fun day for the kids and grill night for the adults.
Paying for children and adults in the neighborhood to swim free at the local city pool. There is normally a daily charge for people to use the pool.
Mentoring students by having them work one on one with coaches. This is done weekly throughout the school year.
Supporting a local church by tithes and donations
Provided support to individual neighbors through bus passes, jail ministry, transportation, and neighborhood events.
