Safe and Sound A Sandy Hook Initiative tailors workshops to meet the unique needs of local geographies as a stand-alone event or as part of a regional or state tour. The organization's mission is to unite our national school community through a purely nonpartisan, grassroots approach to problem-solving in our communities and our country, providing school communities a platform for building local and national partnerships between. Safe and Sound's ultimate goal is to support school crisis prevention, response, and recovery, protecting every school and every student every day.

Program areas at Safe and Sound A Sandy Hook Initiative

Safe and Sound's custom workshops and seminars engage educational administrators and/or community members in creating safer schools. Going broader than one single location, the community and statewide initiatives work with local governments and boards of education to bring together regional stakeholders for greater impact. States, counties and districts can scale their school safety investments by bringing together multiple sros, first responders, and school staff to central locations, thereby increasing efficiency and productivity when rethinking school safety. See schedule o for additional information.
The national summit on school safety was held virtually and served approximately 2,000 participants. It was A three day event comprised of general sessions and break out sessions for attendees.
