Surgical services - surgical services at Sacred Heart Hospital are comprised of sterile processing, anesthesia, surgery, post anesthesia care, and short stay care services. Short stay care services supports infusion therapies, cardiac cath, radiology, gastroenterology, and surgery. Surgical services have 10 operating rooms in which one is a hybrid operating room that supports vascular surgery and two c-section rooms on the women's and infant floor. The surgery department supports cardiothoracic services and a robust robotics program. Other procedures include orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, urology, ear nose throat (ent), gynecological, organ procurement, dental, podiatry, and general surgery. Anesthesia provides services to the surgery suite, interventional radiology, inpatient resuscitation, and women and infants. Sterile processing provides services hospital-wide to surgery, inpatient nursing, labor delivery, emergency department, and cath labs/interventional radiology. In fy22 over 3,478 surgical procedures were performed. The short stay care unit supports patient populations for gastroenterology, bronchoscopy, interventional radiology, cardiac cath lab, and iv therapy. This department supported 6,282 patients in fy22.
Heart vascular center - cardiology services offers a wide variety of catheterization laboratory procedures, noninvasive cardiovascular diagnotic procedures and electrophysiology procedures. For those patients who need follow-up a cardiac and pulmonary rehabilition program is offered on site at Sacred Heart. There were 1,214 cardiac cath lab procedures, and 3,068 electrodiagnostic exams that took place in fy2022 at Sacred Heart.
The imaging services department at Sacred Heart Hospital provides inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care. Overall, the department performed nearly 50,000 inpatient and outpatient exams and procedures during fy22. Patients have access to the latest technology in mammography, computed tomography, mri, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound. The department uses a state of the art mri wide bore scanner, four interventional radiologists provide minimally invasive procedures using imaging guidance. The staff consists of board certified radiologists as well as licensed and certified technologists, nurses, and sonographers. The modalities are accredited and utilize state of the art equipment to afford the radiologists optimal images for interpretation. Mri, ultrasound, and ct are accredited by the acr and mammography is certified by mqsa. The Hospital is accredited by the joint commission.
Other program services - other program services at Sacred Heart Hospital are comprised of family birthing center, intensive care, emergency, oncology, pharmacy, laboratory, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, rehabilitation and other services.
