The Sacramento convention and meeting product is comprised of facilities accommodations customer services and transportation options. SCVB continues to execute and develop sales and marketing programs - new and existing - that are focused on the solicitation of conventions and meetings. SCVB also provides superior customer service to encourage repeat business and foster positive word of mouth exposure to other potential groups.
The Sports Commission has developed a new marketing strategy and has deployed a sport-specific sales team to focus on the sports market. Our sports marketing emphasis is aligned with the needs of the sports client's demands and has helped provide a clear understanding of our target audience. In addition we have matched our salespersons strengths to this particular market segment's needs to optimize the effectiveness of our sales efforts and investment.
The SCVB tourism product is comprised of Gold Rush history family attractions good value easy accessibility recreation dining & nightlife wineries and our brand as America's Farm to Fork Capital. Sacramento is an ideal vacation for segments of the travel audience particularly those seeking value destinations and those looking for experiential trips to participate in wine tasting fine dining wildlife viewing or recreational activities. The explosive growth of digital platforms has transformed how consumers plan and make travel decisions and given the SCVB new promotional opportunities to develop compelling family and senior Sacramento-specific programs that attract consumers interested in a variety of different niche experiences.
