"hugs around your neck" book sales - a children's book was written by applewood staff in memory of one of Ruth Mott's former employees. The book is scientifically accurate and touches on the themes of science, including butterflies and flowers, and diversity and inclusion. The main purpose of the book is to be used as a programming tool for years to come. It is also being sold to the general public.
"applewood - the charles stewart Mott estate, one hundred years of stories, 1916-2016"- the book recounts stories of the Mott family and their lives at applewood. After c.s. 's passing his widow, Ruth, wanted to share his story and began a restoration process with intentions of eventually opening applewood to the public. The book provides access and insights that you cannot find in public records. In mr. Mott's own words you will read of the keen interest he took in every detail of the landscaping and gardens. The book shares the stories of the people who lived there, worked there, or simply visited and celebrates the unique and largely private past of applewood. It presents photos and details of furnishings, artwork and the landscape that surrounds it. The book is being sold to the general public.
