Ronald Mcdonald House Charities of Marshfield

Ronald Mcdonald House Charities (rmhc) mission is to keep families with sick children together and near the care and resourses they need. Rmhc of Marshfield is dedicated to easing the burden of families whose lives have been disrupted as a result of their children's illness or injury. Rmhc of Marshfield operates a House providing temporary lodging to families of seriously ill children while those children are patients at Marshfield clinic and/or Marshfield children's hospital. The cornerstone program of rmhc is the Ronald Mcdonald House. The House provided a "home aware from home" for 180 new families and 34 returning families for a total of 180 families in 2023. These families used the House for a total of 298 visists with an average length of stay of 6.7 nights. The House is staffed 24/7/236 by fully trained and paid staff. Volunteers assist daily with meals, office assistance, light housekeeping, and other duties. Guests are invited to stay at our House as no cost to families, which removes a major barrier for those who may not be able to afford alternative accomodations. Monetary and in-kind support is critical to the charity's mission of keeping families close to their sick child.
