Mothers' milk bank collects, screens, and dispenses donated surplus milk from healthy lactating mothers. In 2022, mothers' milk bank dispensed 686,282 ounces to over 870 outpatient recipients and 130 hospitals that provide banked milk for their patients. Banked donor milk is available for babies whose own mothers are unable to supply their needs, and others who have special Health requirements for human milk.
The patient and family assistance fund provides patients and families with direct assistance to meet their fundamental needs. The program seeks to ensure the Health and safety of pediatric patients in the Rocky Mountain region and to minimize outside stressors during a child's Health emergency. Rmchf provied 2,248 services for 1,477 families with direct assistance and overall served 10,332 pediatric patients through the patient and family assistance program.
