Program areas at Riverside Military Academy

Instructional - Riverside Military Academy (RMA) is an all-boys college preparatory boarding school serving students in grades 7-12. There are approximately 530 cadets from about 29 states and 23 countries. The average class size is 12 students. This individualized attention and highly structured environment prepares the cadets for college and success in many occupational fields. Of the 137 graduating seniors, 110 are attending/were accepted to over 120 different colleges/universities. One cadet is attending the United States Airforce Academy, one cadet is attending the United States Military Academy at West Point, and another cadet is attending the Coast Guard Academy Prep program. Eleven cadets entered military service in either the reserve, active duty, or National Guard. The graduating class received $4.08 million in collegiate scholarships to colleges and universities spanning the United States, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. Student services - the vast majority of the cadets live on the 206-acre campus. The campus facilities include dormitories, classrooms, a visual and performing arts center, library, gymnasium, an extensive weight-training facility, an indoor rifle range, cafeteria and grill, book store, swimming pool, tennis courts, and lighted athletic fields. The school offers over 30 different clubs and activities for cadets to participate. The school cafeteria provides three meals a day monday friday and two meals on saturday and sunday. They serve all of the cadets and approximately 50 members of the faculty and staff.

Athletics - RMA competes in four Junior Varsity and seven 7th and 8th grade sports. The Academy also competed within Region 8-AA of the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) in 12 varsity level sports. The Cross Country team came in third in the 2015 GHSA Region 8-AA championships. The soccer team was the 2016 GHSA Region 8-AA champion, placing 4th in the 2016 GHSA State Championships. The varsity basketball team was the 2016 GHSA Region 8-AA regular season champion. The swim team was the 2016 Hall County champion, placing 16th out of 129 teams in the 2016 GHSA State Championships. The Tennis team was the 2016 GHSA Region 8-AA champion, finishing as one of the top eight teams in GHSA Region 8-AA. Riverside will start competing in GHSA Region 8-A during the 2016-17 school year.
