Program areas at Rise Up Industries

Machine Shop Social Enterprise (MSSE) - MSSE provides on-the-job training for program members preparing them for careers as CNC machine operators. Members receive real world work experience on contract work in a Department of Labor approved apprenticeship program.
Prevention Program - Rise Up Leadership Academy's (RULA) mission is to assist at-risk youth from being recruited into gangs. Gangs recruit youth as early as age 12. RULA will begin working with fifth grade students and continue to serve them through high school graduation. The program will provide a safe and welcoming environment with sports, entertainment, tutoring and social skill development and help the youth to recognize their self worth and to achieve their full potential. 2023 funding was used to develop the program and prepare to launch the program in 2024.
Member Services - Reentry Program members received a comprehensive set of wraparound services during the 18-month program. Services included case management services, counseling, mentoring, recovery and relapse prevention programs, tattoo removal, financial literacy training, classroom training related to CNC fundamentals, and assistance with resume writing, mock interviews and job searching for employment after graduation.
