Program areas at Rescue A Golden of Arizona
Rescued and placed 101 Golden retrievers in pre-screened approved forever homes, and provided health screenings, vaccinations, medical care, and in some cases life-saving surgery. Cared for two pregnant female goldens and their puppies - A total of 18 - before placing them in puppy-approved homes. In partnership with grin Golden retrievers in need based in Ohio brought in eight 8-week old pups that were saved from A puppy mill. Launched our inaugural partnership with costco and other non-profits to ensure slightly damaged bags of dog food found their way from costco warehouses to needy doggies and their owners such as within the un-housed population. As an all-volunteer organization supported only by donations, grants, and our own internal efforts, we delivered successful fundraising programs such as our first ever exclusively online annual campaign, topgolf, book signings at barnes and noble, holiday gift wrap events, and others.
