Program areas at Rahma Worldwide Aid and Development
Health and nutrition: Rahma's activities encompass education/behavior change, general health, medical supplies and pharmaceuticals, infant and young child feeding, and response to acute malnutrition. Education initiatives are conducted in countries such as syria, yemen, palestine, lebanon, turkey, kenya, and others across the african continent. Emergency response: Rahma focuses on addressing the immediate lifesaving needs of populations in crisis locations. This includes providing clean water, sanitation, food security, temporary shelter, household items, and emergency medical assistance. Programs include, but are not limited to- emergency response to displacement in north syria, and in north syria, and yemen: provided food, household items, and heating kits to families displaced from war. Food items included flour, rice, dates, olives, jam, olive oil, cooking oil, sugar and others. Emergency food and non-food items to internally displaced persons in yemen: distributed dry food packs and hygiene items to displaced families such as rice, sugar, tomato paste, tea, bulgur, lentils, chickpeas, beans, cooking oil, olive oil, salt. In addition providing access to clean safe water, sanitation, hygiene items. Orphans sponsorship: Rahma's sponsorship program focuses primarily on monthly support to orphans to supplement their basic needs, such as food, education, health care and clothing. Rahma supported more than 5,000 orphans in 5 countries. Water, sanitation & hygiene: includes activities related to environmental health, hygiene promotion, sanitation, and water supply.
