Description
Quilts for Empowerment empowers impoverished Kenyan women and girls through its mission. 9 women fistula survivors were graduated as they achieved emotional and financial empowerment. They are now Qfe ambassadors who identify women in their communities that need fistula repair, forming a new support group to be similarly helped. Qfe has also educated and provided safe housing for 12 young female assault survivors in Kenya, all receiving trauma-informed counseling and group therapy achieving at or above grade level in school while thriving physically and emotionally.
