Program areas at Push to Walk
In 2022, Push to Walk served a total of approximately 56 clients, which is less to the number of clients served in 2021. However revenue from training sessions and fundraising revenue were significantly greater than in 2021. Push To Walk was still in post Covid recovery in 2022 with staffing and clients still nervous to return and some decided not to return at all. We are starting to feel the shift back to "normalX and clients were slowly increasing. At the end of 2022 Push To Walk's training staff consisted of 3 full-time trainers, 7 part-time trainers and 4 part-time aides. Administrative staff included a part-time Executive Director, a part-time Development Assistant, a part-time Bookkeeper, a a part-time Grant Writer and a part-time Client & Event Coordinator.
In June of 2022 the Executive Director stepped back to a part-time grant writer and a curect employee was promoted to the Executive Dirctor role. With the assistnce of grants Push To Walk continues to provide opportunities, both in person and virtually, for our staff and attend conferences and seminars on the most up to date research in spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, stroke and other forms of paralysis. In 2022, the annual national conference, Unite 2 Fight Paralysis, was attended by 1 staff member which provided informatin on other training and educational opportunities. Additionally, Push To Walk stays current with updates regarding roboic therapy aides to assist the paralysis community.
