Program areas at Propel Schools Foundation

The Propel Schools Foundation supports the 13 Propel Schools and their 3,900 students. We raise money that flows through us to directly support the Schools, and their programs. We also directly administer support to programs that further these ends and raise money that directly flows to the Schools. Our principal efforts are: 1) after school programs (we have the largest such program in our region serving 900 children on a typical day); 2) the Propel teacher residency program to attract a great and diverse teacher corps; 3) Propel partners in wellness focusing on wellness programs for our scholars, faculty and the communiy (particularly mental health) both during and after school hours; 4) scholar opportunities fostering personal growth through expanded life experience for students; and 5) k-2 literacy program that focuses on early childhood literacy as a pathway to lifelong success in learning through additional focused small group instruction.
