Ppl provides high-quality affordable housing, on-site resident services, and life-changing career readiness programs. for 50 years, we have helped people in the twin cities address their challenges to stable housing, believing that a home and employment are the cornerstones of economic well-being. This approach aligns with the ppl mission to build the hope, assets, and self-reliance of individuals and families who have lower incomes by providing transformative affordable housing and career readiness services.housing stability ppl provides 1,500 units of affordable, multi-family residential housing 42 units of affordable housing opened at bloom lake flats 135 units of affordable housing were funded high-quality housing for people with low incomes and people who have experienced homelessness. Support for children to prepare for and thrive in school and life services for individuals and families to gain the stability and network needed to achieve self-reliance 114 new homeowners assisted 98% households achieved 24-month housing stability 73% new bipoc homeowners assisted $29.3m wealth creation in homeowner equityppl annually serves nearly 7,000 people in the twin cities region, with a concentration of services in minneapolis, st. paul, and several suburbs. in 2022, 88% had household incomes below 200% of federal poverty ($27,180 for an individual, $55,500 for a family of four).
Other programatic work which falls outside the scope of the two major programs.
Career readiness innovative employment preparation enhanced by partnerships that promote equity and job retention. Alternative education and employment initiatives that increase opportunities for young people financial literacy education, housing counseling, and homebuyer education that support economic stability and asset building average wage upon hire is $21.07 for program graduates 90% individuals achieved 12-month job retention 90% credit-eligible students graduated 1,395 step-up students prepared for careers 350% income growth after job placement
