Program areas at Progressive Change Community Development Corporation
Progressive Change CDC served as a co-developer of the Fourth District Container Village, raising funding to support marketing and operation expenses at a retail mall that was built out of refurbished freight shipping containers that housed early-stage small businesses, providing them with exposure, subsidized rent, and business advisory services from partner organizations. The Fourth District Container Village celebrated its soft open on October 29, 2022 and Progressive Change contributed to capital improvement activities.
Progressive Change CDC partnered to provide pro-bono legal services and support to non-profit organizations and community groups.
Progressive Change CDC co-hosted a Real-Estate Day which provided information on first-time homebuyer grants, insurance for homeowners, mortgage options from local banks, a workshop on purchasing property from the City of Philadelphia, and energy-efficient rebates and grants to help homeowners bring down energy costs. The Real-Estate Day was hosted at the Fourth District Container Village, where Progressive Change CDC serves as a partner for community events.
