Proactive Living Facility

In 2023, a son that inspirred the creation of the organization, jake, died on april 5, 2023. The organization chose to continue to move forward. We continue to work closely with farm in the dell, international to make sure we are still in compliance with our mission statement. We received updated bids for construction, and the costs continue to increase. We held a beef raffle fundraiser from a prime steer donated by friends of jake with two winners. One from st. ignatius, mt and one from kalispell, mt. We continue to seek donations and look at grant funding possibilities which have been sparse. Rich janssen spent the first three months of 2024 in the Montana legislature with senator shane morigeau of missoula, mt to get a bill passed to provide construction dollars allocated for adults with autism in the state of Montana. The bill was killed many times before being resurrected and ultimately passed on the final day with help by senator mike cuffe of eureka, mt. The bill was signed into law and allocated 400,000 for two years for projects benefiting the autism community.
