St John of Jerusalem eye hospital group, headquartered in east Jerusalem with facilities in the holy land. It is the only charity ophthalmic hospital in the region. It is also a teaching hospital to train doctors and nurses in much needed ophthalmic specialties. the Priory in the USA of the Most Venerable Order of the hospital of St John of Jerusalem (the Order of St John) members have vowed to prevent and treat sickness and suffering by raising millions of dollars for these designated charities. Their fundraising efforts are ongoing.
