In 2021 pji published what if?, 10 questions for sparking Pretrial change, an invitation to rethink options for ending mass incarceration - www.pji.pub/whatif. Pji hosted a series of webinars with experts across the field of criminal Justice discussing each of the 10 questions. Lastly, pji launched its local antiracist Pretrial Justice (lapj) framework, bringing community members and public officials together to implement decarceral solutions rooted in equity, safety and well-being. Lapj is a holistic framework that addresses the spectrum of Pretrial decision points, starting with a person's contact with law enforcementor being able to avoid contactthrough the disposition of their case.
