Program areas at Powerpac Foundation
The Foundation 2020 policy research and advocacy centered on indentifying key policy areas of concern to the communities of color in California for the foreseeable future. Our general work included researching demographic and geographic concentrations as well as third party research on economic and social issues of concern to our target communities. Because of covid relief efforts by a former Powerpac colleague in Maryland, we were also able to raise funds for the mamie and jerome todd releif fund.
We supported the collaborative study of integrated voter engagement practices across a set of diverse California regions and demographics.
She the people brings together a national network of women of color - voters, organizers, movement builders - to transform our democracy. She the people is organizing a multiracial coalition that will lead the nation into a new political and cultural era. In swing states in the south, southwest, and midwest we aim to increase the voter turnout of women of color who will be the key to winning the elections.
