Poudre Heritage Alliance

Educational & interpretive programming learning in our watershed (loiw) was designed with a simple mission: to help youth understand and value the cache la Poudre river and their water Heritage while inspiring a next generation of river stewards. In 2023, 6,173 students participated in liow field trips within the national Heritage area. Pub talks are a series of free adult educational presentations that cover a wide range of topics from water law, water usage, and conservation. In 2023, 150 participants participated. The Poudre river forum is an educational conference for water professionals open to the public to engage citizens of northern coloardo in the conversation about water. In 2023, the forum was co-hosted by cache nha & prti, a study action group coordinated by cache nha, working to making the cache la Poudre river an example of a healthy working river and had 200 attendees. Community projects and events- events Poudre pour with 300 in attendance, Poudre riverfest in collaboaration with other partners with 2,000 in attendance and supported act film festival, bike to work day, and foco fondo. Community projects support interpretation, historic preservation, recreation and the arts across the Heritage area. See list of this year's community grantees.
