Program areas at PNPI

Pnpi hosted three zoom briefings, and three virtual trainings. The trainings focused on student loan servicing, the federal budget process, and college cost. The zoom briefings focused on program integrity and pandemic aid.
Pnpi also sponsored a summer scholars intern program for two Postsecondary students with demonstrated financial need. Summer scholars were paid for their work.
Pnpi hosted three researcher spotlights, two virtual courses, and one in-person course for prospective policymakers - individuals who are interested in, or just starting out in, the federal Postsecondary Policy field.the virtual courses focused on Postsecondary data and federal student aid. The in-person course focused on federal student aid. Each course provided participants with an opportunity to expand their content knowledge while networking with others. The researcher spotlights introduced participants to up-and-coming Postsecondary researchers.pnpi also hosted three alumni events and an alumni course; all were virtual. The events featured a legislative update briefing and two workshops: one focused on networking and one on creativity skills. The alumni course provided skills practice in fundraising. Finally, we hosted a lunch and six check-in zooms throughout the year for our leadership course alumni.
Smaller meetings were held with higher education stakeholders as a means to extend our reach and expertise. Pnpi also creates and publishes summaries of Postsecondary research, primers and memos on Postsecondary topics, and Postsecondary fact sheets.
