Program areas at Posey Shelter Pet Promoters
Protection of animals from abuse, neglect & cruelty thru adoptions, transporting, fostercare, educational program & promoting spay/neuter programs. We admitted 50 puppies into our Puppy Preservation Program and spayed 8 mother dogs. In addition we accepted 12 additional owner surrenders and pulled 142 from Animal Control facilities, for a total of 204 lives saved. We also served 86 families through our Pet Food Pantry allowing them to keep their pets during hard times. and last, we organized the transport of 185 dogs and 294 cats to the West Georgia Spay/Neuter Clinic for a total of 479 pets sterilized.We are forever grateful for all our volunteers, fosters, transporters, donors, spay/neuter and veterinary clinics, businesses and partnering rescues. Without their hard work and dedication to the cause, this would not have been possible.
