The Popeyes Foundation

2022 fundraising proved to much stronger than prior year. The 2022 annual Popeyes convention was live vs. Virtual in 2021, allowing The opportunity for more fundraising, included an added convention event. We saw a 32% increase in convention fundraising yoy. Additionally, we are seeing higher participation from franchisees with in-restaurant fundraising, a 31% increase yoy. For The last year The Foundation has been working on a strategic plan to be rolled out in 2023. Of The total funds raised in-restaurant in 2022 ($929,256), 50% will be restricted and dedicated to a new local market grant program in 2023. The visibility this new program has at The local level will help grow The Foundation message and revenue as our franchisees continue to embrace Foundation efforts. We continued our support of no kid hungry, a campaign dedicated to ending childhood hunger and poverty in The united states. Our 2022 grant contributed to providing up to 4.6 million meals for children in need, and we have donated over $1.7 million to no kid hungry since 2018.finally, we continue to serve our team members through The Popeyes Foundation family fund which assists restaurant team members and their families facing unexpected hardships, such as natural disasters. Since its establishment The family fund has provided assistance to over 530 team members, distributing nearly $500,000 in grants.
