Program areas at Pyo Music Institute
The programs of the Pyo provide Music education and performance opportunities to students in the greater Philadelphia region in the fiscal year 2022-2023, the Pyo had the following program activities: Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (123 students) Philadelphia young artists Orchestra (94 students) young musicians debut Orchestra (48 students) bravo brass (19 students) Philadelphia symphonic band (13 students) Philadelphia region Youth prysm strings (115 students) Philadelphia Youth jazz Orchestra (9 students) the Pyo 2022-2023 performance schedule consisted primarily of performance activities. In order to attract and retain the best student musicians, Pyo offers a tuition financial aid program to students that demonstrate talent, but do not have the financial wherewithal to pay the full tuition. In 2022-2023, the Orchestra provided financial assistance in the amount of $132,325.
The Orchestra is registered as an educational improvement organization (eio) and an opportunity scholarship tax credit (ostc) agency under the commonwealth of Pennsylvania's educational improvement tax credit (eitc) program. The Orchestra provided 4 ostc scholarships under this program in the fiscal year 2022-2023.
In the fiscal year 2022-2023, tune up philly had 83 students. The tune up philly 2022-2023 performance schedule consisted of virtual performance activities. Tune up philly students receive full tuition financial aid.
