Program areas at Peters Valley School of Craft
Produces vocational hands on immersive educational programming in fully equipped studios in blacksmithing, ceramics, fiber/textile arts, fine metals/jewerly, glass, photography, printmaking, mixed media/special topics, woodworking for adults and youth art programs. Produces virtual educational programming including instruction and free artist lectures and panel discussions. Additionally, the School has public outreach programs which include demonstrating the artists in schools, public events and assisted living facilities. The School engages emerging and established artists as instructors and presenters provides artist residencies, fellowships and studio assistantships to provide professional development and advancement opportunities for artists.peters Valley hosts and produces curated gallery exhibitions relating to fine Craft and contemporary topics and operates a retail and oline gallery presenting over 300 american artists/makers work for sale to support working artists and programs at Peters valley.special events includes; a nationally jurieed Craft fair (held at the sussex county fairgrounds in augusta, nj presenting approximately 125-150 exhibting artists, Craft demonstrations, community groups and is attended by over 4,500 people), benefit events,virtual markets and presentations, a travel program featuring national and global arts and crafts tours, art in the park day in may (open house event) annually.the campus is located in the Delaware water gap national recreation area and is comprised of 38 historic structurs that are cared for by Peters Valley and provide robust cultural experiences for visitors to the park and School.
