Program areas at People Helping People of Pullman

Our primary purpose is to provide a safe environment for children and adults to witness god's love, meet their daily needs and equip them to reach their potential. 2022 program service accomplishments include: 8 week summer youth program incorporating fun, education and field trips. Weeklong vacation bible school for elementary aged children and community service work for middle and high school students. After school program for pre-k-12 grade students four days a week that included food, homework assistance, crafts and fun. Provided students in need with school supplies. Sponsored children to attend camp beechpoint. Offered community space for indoor community soccer pick-up and games. Free use of the linking center for adults with community meetings. Assisted families in need with things like furniture, appliances, and firewood for heat. Offered a weekly community dinner and bible studies for all ages. Offered weekly worship service for People in the community. Partnered with allegan adult education to offer ged and esl classes for adults. Partnered with service agencies offering them meeting space with their Pullman clients. Provide coats for community adults and youth. Partnered with hungry for christ and distributed food to the community and migrant families. More than 200 families were served. We offer a food pantry to the community that is open on wednesdays and fridays by appointment and as needed in emergency situations. Approximately 200 families are served each month at the pantry.
