Drala Mountain Center (formerly Shambhala Mountain Center) is a contemplative retreat center in the foothills of Northern Colorado founded about 50 years ago. In 2020 and 2021 COVID restrictions caused almost all of the programming to be canceled and in 2020 the Cameron Peak wildfire swept the land causing substantial damage. This grant helped to cover operating expenses and fire recovery expenses during these crisis years in order to insure the survival of the retreat center.
