Program areas at Pegasus Project Foundation

Therapeutic riding: the Pegasus Project therapeutic riding program teaches riding skills to people with physical and emotional needs. Children and adults are offered weekly riding lessons as individuals or in a group.
Life skills: the life skills program works with the special education departments at local high schools to add specialized equine curriculum and unique learning experiences to students educational programming. In this program students learn how to care for an equine facility, caring for tack, anatomy of the horse, grooming and riding skills.
Hippotherapy: working in conjunction with children's village, the Pegasus Project team works to help those with special needs that cannot be met in the traditional therapeutic riding program. Physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists partner to assist children in meeting therapeutic goals.
