Program areas at Peace Initiative

Community development - 9,000 people received information on the prevention of domestic violence and 9,000 of those participated in workshops on domestic violence prevention. They also participated in and received informatikon on the prevention and awareness of child Abuse. P.e.a.c.ePeacea.c.e. Initiative works with empower house providing educational classes on domestic violence To the mutual clients served. These classes are delivered in both english and spanish. Case management/consultation for the individual students is available in all classes. P.e.a.c.Peacea.c.e also provides positive parenting programs.
P.e.a.c.Peacea.c.e works with the ait-scm - american indians of Texas and the spanish colonial missions non-profit in their "it takes a village" program for at risk youth providing education on teen dating violence. P.e.a.c.Peacea.c.e also provided their professional staff consultation and training and case debriefing services for the population that they serve as part of the san antonio fatherhood campaign.
Domestic violence survivor program - provided seventy-five (75) individuals and their families cognitive processing therapy (cpt) and resource allocation by a case manager solely assigned To this program. The case managers provided evidence-based cpt and assisted the victim with accessing multiple services and resources, psycho-education regarding domestic violence, and trauma-focused treatment. The secondary services of the program include legal representation by staff attorney services and a court advocate. These services have three overarching roles: 1) To educate the victim on the legal system processes, 2) To prepare court documents for civil and criminal cases, and 3) accompany the victim To all court hearings associated with their case.
