Operated outsourced animal control and shelter for the city of blue springs and its residents. In 2023, responded to 4,637 calls for animal service. 126 animal abuse cases were handled, 202 injured animals treated, and 86 animal bite cases were investigated. Also handled 1,058 cases of dogs running at large and citations were issued for 516 animal control ordinance violations.
Locate, treat and care for unfortunate dogs and cats, including finding adopted homes. In 2023, 1,605 animals were saved, 990 animals were adopted, and 498 animals were returned to their owners
