Program areas at Path with Art
Artremedy - individual arts engagement supports approx. 1,300 systems impacted individuals and families in recovery from trauma, and 65 social service agencies through year-round trauma-informed, accessible, professional level arts education. In 2022, trained and employed 55 teaching artists and 72 volunteers in the principles of healing-centered arts engagement across a wide variety of disciplines including music, performing arts, visual and literary arts in both in person and online settings. Digital devices and internet access are provided for those who would not otherwise be able to participate.
Artworks - Path with Art's leadership program is open to participant artists who have earned a certificate of achievement provides professional development opportunities for participants in peer mentoring, Art sales, and opportunities for instruction.
Arthome - a significant achievement in 2022, is the build out and opening of the arthome, an inclusive, community arts and performance hub. This 5,000 square foot accessible space creates opportunities for increased engagement with the broader community, while allowing for deeper engagement and exploration with participant artists.
Artconnection- public-facing programs provide a sense of accomplishment while bringing disparate groups of people together to foster deeper understanding and community empathy in times of compassion fatigue. Examples of this include choir and band performances, poetry readings, visual Art exhibitions and collaborations with the seattle opera, entre hermanos, plymouth housing, and real escape from the sex trade.
