2022 marked an important milestone for pep as we celebrated our 20th anniversary! We took the opportunity to reflect on our achievements, look ahead, and thank our founders and partners for their continued support and invaluable contributions. It was also a year of expansion with continued, new, or renewed funding from seven donors and several newly formed collaborations and partnerships.we also supported research initiatives focused particularly on issues related to youth employment, women's empowerment and social gender norms, climate change, Policy interventions, and promoting experimental impact evaluations to inform policymaking.in 2022, pep sparked an international discussion around the persistently low participation of southern researchers in development economics. Findings from a series of studies that investigated the participation of global south researchers in development economics research, Policy and consulting activities have inspired pep to launch a global "call to action"-with each point tied directly to findings from our study. We promoted our call to action through a series of events and publications and, by the end of the year, had mobilized hundreds of signatories from around the world, including more than 80 leading economists.
