Program areas at Partners in Hope Incorporated
Education and development programs: a multi-tiered program offered to families who want to become self-sufficient. The "getting ahead" program is the first tier and is a 10 week program that encourages and leads families to build and develop their own plan. "the staying ahead" program is the second tier where partner families meet regularly for accountability, goal setting, and targeted educational opportunities. The third tier is a 10 week money management program that supports families to create their own financial plan. Over 75 members participated in 2023. Other classes offered were the parent project and r-rules in partnership with the county court. Over 150 participated in community education through our poverty simulation and bridges out of poverty training.
Caregivers- caregivers provide rides to persons over the age of 62 to medical appointments, online grocery shopping and pick-up, and other errands. Volunteers donate miles on the road to assist clients to remain in their homes. Additional programming and support is provided through calls, outings, and connection to other community Partners. in 2023 the program provided 273 rides and 56 friendly visits totaling 4,377 miles and 522 hours of volunteer time.
Relief services: crisis intervention- temporary assistance to lower income individuals and families in financial crisis. This includes utility payments, new employment requirements such as personal identification, work boots, or personal care items. in 2023, 842 non-duplicated families were served, 404 of these were new to Partners in Hope. "christmas shop" - a reciprocity based christmas program that allows families to volunteer their time or resources then shop for their children. in 2023, 200 children were served. Additional relief services include "christian auto repair" - 20 families served and "tax clinic"- 146 served.
