Parkview Hospital, Inc. is a charitable, not-for-profit, community-owned Hospital and consists of a 549-bed regional tertiary referral center (Parkview regional medical center), as well as a 167-bed community Hospital (Parkview Hospital randallia) and an 89-bed behavioral health Hospital (affiliate of Parkview behavioral health institute), located in fort wayne, Indiana. The service area includes northeast Indiana, northwest Ohio, and south-central Michigan. Parkview Hospital, Inc. is home to a verified level ii adult and pediatric trauma center in addition to the samaritan medical flight and ground transport services, and a full-service, 24-hour emergency department. Specialty services include a heart institute, a certified comprehensive(see schedule o for continuation)stroke center, women's & children's Hospital, outpatient service center and cancer institute. Park center, Inc., an affiliate of Parkview health Inc., works in tandem with Parkview behavioral health institute (pbhi), and Parkview physicians group (ppg) to create a comprehensive continuum of mental health services. Park center, Inc. is a community mental health center with facilities in fort wayne, as well as bluffton and decatur. Besides integrating services where appropriate, the two organizations plan to improve access to mental health services, enhance clinical processes, coordinate substance use disorder programs and make capital investments in select park center facilities.parkview heart institute at Parkview Hospital, Inc. Through this collaboration, the Parkview heart institute and its patients have access to the best practices, latest treatments, technology, and innovations that led the cleveland clinic to its no. 1 ranking for the last 28 years.the Parkview research center housed in the Parkview mirro center for research and innovation provides world-class education for Parkview co-workers, physicians and medical professionals. Training takes place in cutting-edge medical simulation classrooms and training laboratories modeled after current operating rooms, exam rooms, patient rooms and ambulances. Patient expectations for excellent care are supported by ensuring that healthcare professionals are familiar with the most innovative and effective treatments available. In addition to training and education, the mirro center for research and innovation houses the health services and informatics research group, which is comprised of interdisciplinary scientists, project managers and user-experience specialists. This team works on a broad array of projects, including investigator-initiated research, program evaluation, pilot studies, community surveys and user-experience projects that improve the usability of healthcare technologies. Examples of their projects include youth mental health research, innovative practice model evaluation, screening for and addressing social determinants of health, and supporting people living with chronic disease. The magnet designation serves as the gold standard for nursing care delivery, new nursing knowledge and evidence-based clinical quality in healthcare organizations around the world. The magnet model components are transformational leadership, structural empowerment, exemplary professional practice, empirical outcomes, new knowledge, innovations and improvements. Parkview health system, Inc. was re-designated in 2022.parkview Hospital was awarded the following accolades during 2022:-the american college of surgeons national surgical quality improvement program (acs nsqip) recognized Parkview regional medical center and affiliates which includes Parkview Hospital randallia, among 78 acs nisqip participating hospitals that achieved meritorious outcomes for surgical patient care in 2021. As a participant in acs nsqip, Parkview is required to track the outcomes of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures and collect data that assesses patient safety and can be used to direct improvement of the quality of surgical care. This recognition program commends a select group of hospitals for achieving a meritorious composite score in either an "all cases" category or a category which includes only "high risk" cases. Risk-adjusted data from the july 2022 acs nsqip semiannual report, which presents data from the 2021 calendar year, were used to determine which hospitals demonstrated meritorious outcomes. Parkview was recognized on both the "all cases and "high risk" meritorious lists. -iha inspire Hospital of distinction - prmc and pvh family birthing center - according to the Indiana Hospital association, "inspire was developed to encourage the implementation of best-practice care for Hoosier moms and babies and recognize hospitals for excellence in addressing key drivers of maternal and infant health." Based upon six criteria (infant safe sleep, breastfeeding, tobacco prevention and cessation, perinatal substance use, and aim patient safety bundles: obstetric hemorrhage and maternal hypertension), hospitals are awarded either an "inspire Hospital of distinction or "category of excellence recognition".- Parkview behavioral health was awarded the press ganey award for national database nursing quality indicators (ndnqi). According to press ganey, "the ndnqi award for outstanding nursing quality honors the best-performing academic medical centers, teaching hospitals, community hospitals, pediatric hospitals, psychiatric hospitals and international hospitals, for delivering top-tier nursing quality to patients." Parkview behavioral health was one of seven organizations to be recognized for advancing nursing excellence and patient outcomes in 2022. - the "a" grade was awarded to Parkview regional medical center (prmc) by the leapfrog group, an independent national organization, which assigns an "a," "b," "c," "d, or "f" grade to general hospitals across the country. Grades are based on more than 30 national performance measures reflecting errors, injuries, accidents and infections as well as systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.- the 2022 evs certificate of merit award -- Parkview environmental services (evs) received the 2022 evs certificate of merit award for facilities of 500+ beds from the association for the health care environment (ahe). This national award recognizes significant contributions made by an evs department to the overall patient experience and a healthcare organization's mission. It highlights maintaining high levels of performance in the following areas: cleaning, disinfecting, environmental infection prevention, environmental sustainability and stewardship, technology use, patient experience, and evs team education and training.
