Program areas at Page Turners Make Great Learners

During the 2021-22 school year, Page Turners Make Learners partnered with the Georgia Department of Education to present a series of virtual visits by esteemed children's and young adult book authors for K-12 students. These virtual conversations reflect Page Turners' mission (to expand children's knowledge and understanding of the world, themselves and their unique possibilities through a love of reading) and are designed to meet the following objectives: (1) Explore new books as a group and ask thoughtful questions, (2) Promote a love of reading in a positive and supportive environment, and (3) Encourage creative and positive learning environments. Page Turners Make Great Learners also teamed up with the Milner Award to provide positive and unique reading experiences to students throughout Atlanta. This partnership gives all students access to books and the opportunity to #Read2Vote. Students read two selections from two different authors and voted for their favorite author and book. The Pass the Book to FeFe Podcast was launched with the objective of providing a resource for educators and parents along with a platform for authors to discuss their books and share the inspiration for their stories.
