Program areas at Picfest
Creation, promotion and execution of picfest's festival season culminated in the turn the music up festival for students ages 10-21, featuring 10 visiting choirs of middle and high school students from across north america, 2 choirs from lane country representing 12 area schools, an alumni chorus of singers from throughout Oregon and three other states, and professional musicians/directors/composers from Oregon, Texas, and Mississippi. The focus of the festival week included rehearsals, workshops, community building, and performances in preparation for the gala concert which included music from across us, uk and a world premiere.
