Program areas at Owl's Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife

We were able to take in over 4,000 orphaned, sick and/or injured animals. We finished the 75-foot flight barn this past fall. Our first patient was a Great Horned Owl that was successfully rehabilitated and released in December. We have almost completed the new beaver ambassador enclosure, and the eco-environment pond has been finished. The entire enclosure is on schedule to be completed by early Spring 2024. Last year we started a college internship program. We had 15 interns apply for an opportunity to earn college credit. They were trained on different tasks at the sanctuary ranging from property maintenance to caring for the animals being rehabilitated. We participated in over 45 events to educate the community on Floridas wildlife, and about our mission.
