Catalyze capital is focused on addressing the need for improved access to capital for early stage cleantech ventures and increasing the base of risk capital available in the region. The organization also raised capital for and initiated investment activities from a climate impact fund that provides risk-tolerant capital to startups from the united states and canada working to address the global climate crisis.
Catalyze companies is focused on direct engagement with early-stage innovators and startup companies developing technologies that address environmental challenges to provide coaching and support, improving their success. On a limited basis the organization also helps companies from other technology sectors. During the fiscal year, the organization connects startup companies to potential private investors, hosts a 18-week program delivering mentorship, helps companies apply for federal sbir/sttr funding, funds interns to work at startup companies, and helps to showcase startup companies to investors and partners at major events. The organization also matches college students with paid summer internships at startups they support.
