Program areas at Operation Wildlife

REHABILITATION of 2908 wild animals. Recieving animals from across 1/2 the state due to COVID and other rehab groups disbanding. Volunteers: 95; 22,170 man hours; 1830 animals released.
MOBILE FIELD WORK: Travel throughout Northeast Kansas to help citizens resolve wildlife situations involving displaced or orphaned wild animals and helping animals with treatable disease processes using non-invasive methods. Phone calls: 57,268, utilizing new web page for re-homing & reuniting, and we continue to incorporate new technology.
PUBLIC EDUCATION: Classes & outreach programs are provided to 14,868 people. 124 programs were provided. Education utilized by individuals, school groups, public agencies, and civic/social organizations.Emphasis is on special challenges faced by wild animals including information on native species and habitats.
