Operation Outreach-Usa

For over 20 years, Operation Qutreach-USA (O0-USA) has served disadvantaged elementary school children by providing books for Students, lesson plans for teachers, and support materials for parents In over 970 classrooms in FY2018 throughout the US teachers quided their students through the program's animal-themed books to strengthen reading and other academic skills while Cultivating positve character traits such as compassion and empathy, respect for others, personal responsibility, environmental Stewardship, and good decision-making. The OQ-USA program responds to growing evidence that children who do not read Proficiently by the end of third grade are at a life-long disadvantage In schools targeted by OO-USA, as many as 86% of students failed to achieve proficiency on standardized reading tests. In program evaluations, teachers report increased interest in reading among their students and improved vocabulary and social skills after completion of the OO-USA program.
