Program areas at Operation New Hope

Learn 4 Life:Provide case management and supportive services for student program participants. Provide workshops and instruction in career readiness and job training. Support for students enrolling in CalJobs and find work experience opportunities. Referral to outside service agencies. Coordination with and referral to participating employers and community agencies. Continuos development and improvement of courses aligned to regional workforce needs. Participation in student support meetings.
HealFREE Drive-Up food distribution. Providing free food to anyone in need. You will be welcomed at our food distribution sites regardless of citizenship. We provide variety of healthy food for you and your family. Get the food and nutrition you need! Living in SB County can be expensive. But you don't have to choose between paying bills or eating healthy food. H.E.A.L Outreach offer a number of free food events each month. View our events to find a H.E.A.L date & location near you.
Youth Reinvestment Program:The YRG Program is a diversion program that utilizes evidence-based case management and workforce development strategies targeting youth who are labeled drop-outs, system involved, high level offenders on formal probation, and/or non-probation high risk youth in needs of services. YRG focuses on violence prevention best practice needs in reducing and or diverting youth from the justice system and equipping them with life skills to build a road map for success.
Prison 2 EmploymentThe Prison to Employment Initiative provides resources for direct services, supportive services and earn learn opportunities to the formerly incarcerated and justice-involved individuals. Providing training, education and career opportunities to individuals who are/ or have been justice involved. Supportive services are provided to ensure individuals receive the necessary resources and supports for success in attaining permanent employment.
Workforce (WIOA)Our strong lasting community partnership with San Bernardino (SB) County's Workforce Board, SB County's Workforce Development Department, SB County America's Job Centers, and SB County Youth Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act partners, youth are enrolled and supported with the Leaders in Workforce Development.
Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN)PSN program is a nationwide initiative that brings together federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement officials, prosecutors, community leaders, and other stakeholders to identify the most pressing violent crime problems in a community and develop comprehensive solutions to address them. ONH provides restorative and cognitive life skills workshops for at-risk communities to address drivers of gun and gang violence, repeat and habitual offenders.
Train the TrainerTrain the trainer workshops prepare case managers, mentors, school counselors, teachers, probation officers, community outreach educators, and other program providers to effectively implement the state of the art prevention & intervention education activities & lesson plans found in our trauma informed life skills workbooks.The Office of Juvenile Justice Department rates ONH as a Promising Evidence Based Trauma informed curriculum.
