Program areas at Operation Dignity
The organization provides emergency shelter, transitional, and permanent housing to homeless veterans. The programs offer a safe and dignified environment, food and other basic needs, and one-on-one case management and support in securing permanent housing.
The organization serves formerly homeless individuals and families in permanent housing, helping them maintain their newfound stability by offering case management, financial education, and community building.
The programs are designed to allow the agency workers to locate and make contact with hard to reach homeless persons in alameda county and to provide basic needs to homeless encampments such as hygiene kits, blankets, clothing, food items, etc. The agency also gathers data on demographics and service needs of the homeless population. Additionally, to bring more people in from off the streets, there is a community cabins program where residents of large encampments take shelter in.
