Program areas at Operation BBQ Relief

Armed with a caravan of cooks, mobile pits, kitchens and volunteers, Operation BBQ Relief delivers the healing power of BBQ in times of need, feeding first responders and communities affected by natural disasters along with year-round efforts to fight hunger through the always serving project and Operation restaurant Relief. Since 2011, Operation BBQ Relief has served more than 10.6 million meals in 30 u.s. states. Operation BBQ Relief mobilizes teams into areas affected by a natural disaster by combining skills of competition cooks, caterers, and chefs to provide meals to those affected and the first responders of disasters in the united states. During 2022 Operation BBQ Relief deployed their volunteers and teams for a total of 215 days to 10 different natural disasters in the united states and served a total of 1,045,172 meals when a disaster strikes, multiple factors are evaluated: size, destructions, people and the services affected. Once deployed, notifications go out to our volunteers and state leads and the deployment standard operating procedures are executed. Operation BBQ Relief is surrounded by an incredible group of volunteers and supporters across the nation who sprint into action when disaster Relief is needed.
