Opera in the Park Portland provides professional performance opportunities for young singers as they begin their careers. This is achieved mainly through the presentation of "opera in the park" in Portland's Washington Park as part of the Portland Parks Department Summer Concert Series, and it's free to the public. Each year, a concert version of an opera is presented with Verdi's Aida being the 2022 program. The aim of Opera in the Park is to promote and support upcoming talent while providing free entertainment to the local community.
