Program areas at Open Table
Open Table's home delivery program brings healthy groceries and prepared meals to our most vulnerable clients who may lack transportation or have mobility challenges which would otherwise mean that they cannot access the food they need. After a successful pilot in hudson, we now offer home delivery in carlisle, concord, maynard, and wayland. Overall, we provided four times more home deliveries in fiscal 2024.
Open Table's kids summer lunch program provides healthy lunches and snacks to children during the summer school holiday when school nutrition programs are not available. The meals are available to all clients and are packaged as single-serving meals, making them easy to bring to camp or daycare
Open Table made substantial progress on the renovation of an adjacent facility to be used for additional food storage space. We expect the facility to become operational in january 2025. We anticipate that this space will allow us to reach 30% more people facing hunger in the coming years.
