One Seventy One Cedar, Inc. (171) is a multidisciplinary arts and cultural center which has been community centered for over fifty years. In 1968, 171 was established by a forward thinking group of community members consisting of arts advocates, artists, & business entrepreneurs. As we work to achieve our artistic and cultural vision we stand ready to partner, and commit to fulfilling our role in the community by closing arts education gaps that arise in regional school districts, human service organizations, and the greater arts and cultural community. 171 enriches the community through the arts, by offering excellent arts instruction with dynamic teaching artists, presenting exhibitions by today's artists, and hosting live performances. We work to provide a multitude of opportunities for self-expression through participation in the arts, regardless of gender, age, or financial situation. Through 171, we strive to provide artistically dynamic programming by nurturing an inclusive environment, and fostering community collaboration. We are passionate and demonstrative about art's power and possibilities, and committed to excellence in all we do. We are appreciative and caring of clients, faculty, artists, and volunteers, and are dedicated to honest, responsive, and responsible management.
